October 16-17, 2019 New York, NY — Repêchage® CEO and Founder Lydia Sarfati was presented with the “Polish and American Woman of the Year 2019” Award on October 16, 2019. The award, given by the Polish & American Women Entrepreneurs (WE), was presented to Sarfati by the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in New York, Maciej Golubiewski, at the Grand Opening Gala, held at the Consulate General Republic of Poland in New York City. This event marked the beginning of the 2019 USA-Central Europe Women in Business Summit 2019, hosted by the Polish & American Women Entrepreneurs.
Polish & American Women Entrepreneurs selected Lydia Sarfati as the 2019 recipient in recognition of her accomplishments and success as a Polish-American female entrepreneur.
“As a Polish-American business woman, this award is great honor,” says Sarfati. “I want to thank Agata Golubiewska, Founder of Polish & American Women Entrepreneurs (WE), and salute this important organization. Its goals align perfectly with the work I have done throughout my career: to constantly strive to empower women through education, inspiration and mentorship to create a successful business and life.
Sarfati and Repêchage® were proud to co-sponsor and participate in the 2019 USA-Central Europe Women in Business Summit, held on October 17, 2019 at the Tribeca Rooftop. The summit was led by top women entrepreneurs from the USA and Central Europe to discuss transatlantic business opportunities. Over 350 guests attended to hear engaging panel discussions from female leaders and entrepreneurs from notable organizations, such as Google, IBM, Morgan Stanley, LinkedIn, Women Who Code, Egon Zehnder, Golden Seeds, and more.
The organization of the Summit is supported by an Honorary Committee headed by the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York, and four Central European diplomatic missions in the United States; the Embassy of Slovakia, the Consulate General of the Czech Republic, the Consulate General of Hungary, and the Consulate General of Germany.
