February 22, 2012 – Las Vegas, NV– The Paul Mitchell Schools Las Vegas Caper at Caesars Palace hosted Repêchage CEO and Founder Lydia Sarfati for an inspirational presentation for future beauty professionals. The educational and inspirational extravaganza drew 2,500 students who earned the trip by selling specially packaged Paul Mitchell products, plus 200 staff members.
Paul Mitchell Co-owners John Paul DeJoria and Angus Mitchell, Global Artistic Director Robert Cromeans, and Paul Mitchell Schools Dean and Cofounder Winn Claybaugh kicked things off with a warm welcome, followed by fast-paced fashion presentations from top Paul Mitchell artists, educators, artistic directors, students, and staff.
On day two, Lydia Sarfati took the stage to share how despite adversity, she was able to overcome and succeed in the beauty industry, “No matter what your past was, the future is yours. Perseverance, tenacity and professionalism are your keys to your future.” For Sarfati, providing beauty services for clients doesn’t mean stopping at the scalp, beauty is from head to toe, from the inside out. The beauty industry is a fulfilling and gratifying one, and Sarfati’s message of complete beauty struck a cord with the future professionals which was received with a roar of applause. “If you stay true to yourself, work hard, respect those that have helped you in life and, most important, follow your dreams you will succeed,” she said. Sarfati shared everything from her beginnings as a Polish immigrant to the creation of her Professional Skin Company, Repêchage. Her powerful story of following her dreams was topped off with a demonstration of her iconic Repêchage 4-Layer Facial, the professional facial treatment that launched Sarfati and Repêchage into the industry giant they are today.
