			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Client retention is a key factor in the success of your salon and showing your appreciation to your loyal customers will keep them coming back time and time again. Each client that receives a service from you should be treated with the utmost care and kindness, but you should also give your top clients a special treat every now and then to show how valued they are. Ultimately, you will spend more money on gaining a new customer than retaining your current customers. Little upgrades are a small price to pay to keep your clients loyal and happy. Going the extra mile will differentiate your salon or spa and give you an edge over your competitors.</p>
<p>One way to structure incentives for your clients is by stating that a specific upgrade will be offered after having received a treatment a certain number of times, I suggest after the service has been provided five times. This structure will have clients looking forward to receiving that free upgrade and will push them to come back sooner. I’m going to share with you ways to upgrade each service your salon or spa offers that will help ensure that your loyalist customers remain in your client book for life.</p>
<p><strong>Facial Upgrade</strong><br />
With every facial you or your estheticians are providing, a hand massage should always be included as a small upgrade, but for the clients that come to you religiously it is important to offer a larger upgrade once in awhile. For every five facials they receive you could offer your clients a <a href="http://www.repechage.com/professional-products/spa-treatment-opti-firm-eye-contour-treatment/" target="_blank"><strong>professional anti-aging eye treatment</strong></a>. This treatment is an absolutely fabulous compliment to your facial service and your clients will notice a reduction of the appearance of puffiness, wrinkles and dark circles around their eyes. These results and your extra attention will have your clients coming back more often to get that free upgrade again!</p>
<p><strong>Hair Treatment Upgrade</strong><br />
For clients that always return to you or your hairstylists for their cut and color a great upgrade to offer for every five services purchased is a<a title="Hair Treatment" href="http://www.repechage.com/professional-products/hair-spa/hair-spa-seaweed-mask/" target="_blank"> <strong>deep conditioning hair treatment</strong></a>. It will only tack on an extra 15 minutes to the service you’re providing, but it will transform your shampoo bowl into a luxurious spa and make the client feel extra pampered. Plus, if they are constantly coming in for color or blow-outs, their hair could use the TLC.</p>

<p><strong>April 26, 2013 – Atlanta, GA</strong> – Some of the beauty industry’s biggest names, including <strong>Repêchage CEO and Founder</strong>, Lydia Sarfati, put on their finest formal wear for a spectacular benefit event, <strong>The Thriving Children 4th Annual Gala</strong>, hosted by local salon owner and celebrity hair stylist, Steve Hightower. The gala was held at Atlanta hot spot, 200 Peachtree, which provided a fabulous backdrop for the fashion and hair show which was the main attraction of the night.</p>
<p>The Thriving Children Gala is organized annually to benefit three metro Atlanta nonprofit organizations, <strong>Childkind</strong>, <strong>Fragile Kids Foundation</strong>, and <strong>The Center for Children &amp; Young Adults</strong>. All of the organizations provide support to the vulnerable populations of children and youth within the Atlanta community. Steve Hightower, award winning hair designer and owner of <strong>Steve Hightower Artist Hair Studio</strong>, has been overseeing the relationship between the charity groups and Steve Hightower Artists since 2010, to present a spring Fashion Show Fundraiser and Gala. Hightower is strongly passionate about his involvement with children’s charities and has been utilizing his network of resources to bring recognition and raise funds for the charities. The money raised through the annual Thriving Children event is divided between the 3 benefitting organizations.</p>
<p><strong>Sarfati</strong>, who was also an event sponsor, was treated to night of full of entertainment and fun, including live music and special performances, that was all put together to benefit three nonprofit organizations. “It was wonderful evening that brought together so many people that truly care about the wellness of the youth in Atlanta. I was so proud to be a sponsor for such a fantastic cause, and I am so proud of all that Steve has done for these children,” said Sarfati.</p>

<p><strong>Woodbridge, NJ – Vito Mazza Salon &amp; Spa</strong> has been gaining client accolades so far this year for offering Repêchage Professional treatments &amp; products, and the appreciation has shown in sales number, with increases in all areas of sales since January 2013.</p>
<p>Vito Mazza Salon &amp; Spa is attributing the increase in services to the superior quality of Repêchage products and treatments. “The reason for the increase in service is simply the integrity of the products. Client’s love how their skin looks and feels after a service and are more inclined to join our wellness series. We are finding that clients are focusing more on the commitment to the professional treatment for better skin health,” said <strong>Christie Citsay,</strong> Spa Director, Vito Mazza Salon &amp; Spa. The salon has put several initiatives in place to support the Repêchage skincare lines, one being a wellness series in which clients can purchase five facials and get the sixth free or they can pay monthly for the five facials over six months.</p>

<p>The Facial Bar has become so popular that Vito Mazza Salon &amp; Spa has hired two additional estheticians, <strong>Jennifer Zimmerman</strong> and<strong> Katrina Gutierrez</strong>, to provide their expertise to salon clients and take the Facial Bar stations to the next level. <p>Previously owned by infamous mobster Al Capone – the bath house on 914 W. Division Street in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, has operated since 1906. In 2011, Margarita Vizcarra purchased the facility and began the over-haul process. With the beautifully restored location now open to the public, Red Square Spa has begun offering Repêchage treatments to clients this year.</p>
<p>Red Square Spa is one of the few traditional bathhouses that remain in the United States and Vizcarra stayed true to the building&#8217;s roots by keeping the traditional Russian Banya or hot room, but brought the spa into modern times by creating a tanning salon, manicure and pedicure stations, and most interestingly a lounge and restaurant. Guests in the spa are even able to grab a bite in their robes in between receiving spa services. To take the unique modernization of the spa to the next level, when guests arrive at the spa they are given a microchip bracelet that acts as a credit card so they will not have to worry about toting around their wallet while relaxing.</p>

<p><strong> LS: Neuvo has been named one of the top 3 salons in Memphis according to the <em>Commercial Appeal</em> multiple times, what sets your salon apart from the rest?</strong></p>
<p>JP: I would say that it would have to be a combination of the service we provide and the state of the art building that was created just for this spa.  The service is a superior level which clients absolutely love. And as for the building, it is like nothing Memphis has ever seen before. So many details went into creating this space, I even had chairs shipped from other countries to make sure everything looked perfect and exactly as I envisioned it and customers are taking notice of all the work that went into creating a beautiful space where they feel welcome.</p>
<p><strong>LS: How did you get your start in the beauty business?</strong></p>
<p>I always wanted to be in the beauty industry, ever since I was a little girl I knew this was what I was meant to do. I went to cosmetology school right out of high school and never looked back. This lifestyle is better than I could have ever imagined. Even though I own my own salon, I’m still behind the chair today because I love it so much.</p>
<p><strong>LS: What motivated you to open Neuvo?</strong></p>
<p>I had been in the beauty industry for 27 years and I have always worked for someone else. I really just wanted to build something of my own that could be an amazing part of Memphis and create a spa experience that would be second to none.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong> LS: How were you first introduced to the Repêchage product line?</strong></p>
<p>elieve it or not, I’ve been using the Repêchage skincare line personally for 27 years! I started using it at the first spa I worked in. That spa sent me to New York to train with Lydia and I started doing Repêchage facials right after that.</p>
<p><strong>LS: How do the Repêchage products fit into your salon and what made them a good choice to use on your clients?</strong></p>
<p>The Repêchage products are great because there is a skincare collection for everyone and every skin type, so no matter what, I know the client will walk away with their desired results.</p>
<p><strong> LS: How has business changed since introducing Repêchage skincare at Neuvo?</strong></p>
<p>Our business has definitely grown since introducing the skincare line. Most notably I’m selling a lot of the Repêchage retail products. Just about everyone I do a facial for buys a product. Now I just want to keep selling and sell more!</p>
<p><strong>LS: How has your past shaped and influenced the creation of Neuvo Hair Salon?</strong></p>
<p>Any experience I have encountered has always helped me to do better. Before opening Neuvo I actually only worked at one other salon. It was much different than my salon now. So I suppose my past in the beauty industry showed me what I didn’t want to do and helped me to create something that was completely unique and different.</p>
<p><strong>LS: Neuvo Hair Salon was originally operated out of a rented space, but you decided to purchase your own larger location after just four years in business, what has this big move done for your salon?</strong></p>
<p>The new location has made a world of difference for business, it has impacted it tremendously. There are so many additions that we didn’t have at our old location. The salon now has its own parking lot for clients, which has been fantastic for everyone. The spa treatment rooms were designed with gorgeous chandeliers and relaxing decor, it’s simply beautiful and it gives clients the experience they are looking for. Clients that are visiting us for the first time are all re-booking for monthly facials now. I would say business has doubled just from the move!</p>
<p><strong> LS: Your salon has been featured in both <em>VIP Magazine </em>and <em>The Daily News</em>, how has this coverage impacted your business?</strong></p>
<p>The salon got a lot of publicity from those stories! So many people were interested in coming to a beautiful salon that was built during a downturned economy, because it is rare to see so much time, money, and effort to be put into a brand new salon. Each and every week we have new clients coming in.</p>
<p><strong>LS: What can we expect from Neuvo Hair Salon in the future?</strong></p>
<p>Great things! Great successful business! And I want to continue to grow the Repêchage brand within my salon!</p>

Sarfati taught, “Anti-Aging Science &amp; Solutions for Visible Aging of the Skin,” focusing on how environmental exposure, genetics, hormonal and chronological factors influence aging of the skin resulting in hyper pigmentation and wrinkles. Her professional expertise for this topic was in high demand as it was a sold out class! She also taught “The Art &amp; Science of European Facial Massage,” in which she helped students improve their understanding of the function of the muscles, lymph and circulatory systems, in order to provide maximum benefits to their clients.</span></p>

<p>Owner Carol Bussing took over the business three years ago bringing 30 years of executive corporate business experience to the table. <p>Sarfati was also invited by CIDESCO Italy President Dr.Andrea Bovero to present at the launch of his upcoming book, “Spa Management, Scegliere, gestire, lavorare nelle SPA” to which Sarfati wrote the preface. To celebrate the launch of his book Sarfati presented “10 Most Important Trends for Spas and Salons” sharing trends and business advice from the U.S. “I much appreciated Lydia participating in the launch of my book.
