Friday, January 13, 2012 – Secaucus, NJ – After a successful 2011, Repêchage CEO and Founder Lydia Sarfati and Chief Operating Officer David Sarfati hosted a President’s Award Luncheon to honor their employees.

Repêchage employees were treated to a catered lunch at their headquarters in Secaucus, NJ and were greeted by fresh white tables adorned with champagne flutes and fresh flowers.

To kick off the awards portion of the afternoon, Repêchage rookie Magda Abdelrohman was presented with the “Rising Star Award.

The Sarfati’s then presented Daisy Ramos with the Repêchage President’s Appreciation Award. Ms. Ramos has been with the company for over 30 years, and her dedication and hard work are unparalleled in the production department. As a testament to her dedication to the company, Daisy’s daughter Sandra Medina has also joined the Repêchage family.

In 2011, Marketing Manager Michael Corradetti took on the task of spearheading the tradeshow area with much success. His hard work and dedication of over 10 years won him a Repêchage Excellence Award.

The Sarfati’s also presented Repêchage Research & Development Director Ronald Cruz with an Excellence Award for his work on the New! Repêchage Biolight Collection that launched late 2011. “The formulations are fantastic,” said Lydia Sarfati, “it is just such a breakthrough line.”

And of course, Ms. Sarfati recognized the superior efforts of the Repêchage Sales Department who were able to significantly increase their sales from 2010 to 2011 by 47%. “Our team is exceptional,” said Ms. Sarfati, “I really look forward to seeing what they can do in 2012.” Johanna Emma was also awarded an Apple IPAD for the highest direct sales overall in 2011.

The Sarfati’s also presented President’s Awards to Director of Operations /Executive Assistant to COO Mary Theresa Zazzera, Dawn Cecco, Director of Distributor Sales U.S. & Canada, Susan Vindics, National Business Development Manager, and Michelle Leiva, Warehouse & Distribution Manager. Heat it Up or Cool It Down with the Repechage Sea Spa Stone Pedicure Step-by-Step!

Walking in a winter wonderland is not always as relaxing as it sounds! A walk outside could mean cold, wet, stressed-out feet! As I mentioned in my post for Beauty Trends in 2012 , cold therapy can be great for sore feet but in the spa not the snow! This effective spa pedicure gives you the option to either defrost your client’s toe-cicles or cool down their stressed feet while helping to improve circulation and to relieve strained, aching feet.

1.) First ask your client what their concerns are. If they are looking to escape the cold, soak tired feet in a foot bath with hot water and 1oz of Repêchage Seaweed Bath. Alternatively, if they are looking to relieve aching feet from high heels, use cold water instead.

2.) Add 5 drops of Repêchage Essential Oil of Peppermint to help improve circulation and to energize tired feet.

3.) For 3-5 minutes, massage Repêchage Sea Spa Glow into feet and calves in upward movements. This exfoliating scrub helps to re-enforce circulation and polishes away any dry winter-skin.

4.) Following exfoliation, place feet back into the foot bath and remove salts by washing feet in bath.

This week, my Repêchage team and I got together for a meeting of the minds. We talked about 2011, what we will continue to do in 2012 and what we will do differently. It was amazing for me to see the drive and the strategies that my employees have for success in 2012.

What I thought was particularly interesting, were some beauty articles about 2012 trends that one of the Repêchage Customer Service Representatives brought to the group’s attention. Using the articles as references, she pointed out that the beauty trends of 2012 were all products and services that Repêchage already provides!

You can see my personal spa trends projection for 2012 , but below are some other predictions we found for 2012 and tools to tap into them!

1.) Bring on the Chill!

Cold therapy has been known to help improve circulation and reduce inflammation. If you don’t have any ice chambers or snow showers in your spa, it’s okay! In order to provide your clients with these wonderful benefits, look no further than adding cold sea stones to your signature services. Cold Sea Stones can be used to exfoliate and massage your skin or add them to a cold eye contour therapy to reduce puffy eyes. You’re clients will love the results!

2.) Hail to Your Heels!

I rarely leave home in flat shoes. There is just something so sexy about the effect a beautiful pair of high heels can have on your legs! Instantly longer, leaner and well, they just look fantastic! Happy New Year! Resolutions for Success in 2012

The holidays have come and gone and now it is already 2012!

2011 was a fabulous year. My professional skin care company, Repêchage, took me to Poland, England, Trinidad and Italy (to name a few) with the launch of our new skin brightening collection, Biolight. 30 years and counting, I am still as happy as ever being able to provide innovative and effective skin care products to the USA and abroad. 2011 also brought a new addition to my family, my daughter Shiri gave birth to a new baby boy, Asher Jacob, this November. He is absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to give him his first seaweed facial!

Although 2011 was a great year, I am excited to see what lays ahead. As many people tend to do at this time of year, I am reflecting on my life in order to see where there is room for improvement. This year I have decided to focus on myself and my relationships.

My Resolutions for 2012

1.) Spend more time with my husband.

My husband David is the love of my life and my number one fan. We work in the same office but I still can’t get enough of him! I hope that in 2012, I will have more time to spend quality time with him going to dinner, walking through Central Park and seeing more shows on Broadway.

2.) Take more vacations.

All work and no play! This year I am going to take more time off (I hope this will help with Resolution #1) and see some sites! Although my job takes me to all corners of the world, I am often speaking or presenting and don’t always have time to take it all in. In 2012, I want to take it all in!!

3.) Pay attention to my friends and family’s emotional needs.

It is important to be aware of the feeling of those who you love. I am going to make a conscious effort this year to be more sensitive to my loved ones. It is important to do unto others are you would have them do unto you Love and be loved!

In your personal life and in business, it is always important to have goals and a concise plan on how you plan on achieving them. This is a New Year and it can mean a new start if you want it to! Your success in is in your hands.

Quench Your Body’s Thirst with These Hydrating Winter Skin Care Tips

Brrr its beginning to look and feel a lot like winter! The winter can have a drying effect on the skin. Here are some of my winter beauty secrets to keeping my skin hydrated and dewy all winter long!

1.) Keep your heating systems low- Baby its cold outside! Beat the urge to turn up the heat. Heating systems can dehydrate you and your skin. Instead, curl up with your favorite sweater and blanket and get cozy. You’re skin will thank you come spring!

2.) Invest in a humidifier! A little burst of hydration in the air is great for your skin and lips, but humidifiers also provide added health benefits! I believe that a well rounded approach to health and wellness will get you the furthest, so splurge! For me, it’s worth the money.

3.) If you love taking baths like I do, this is the perfect time of year to add a soy based bath oil to your tub. For superlatively soft and silky skin, add your favorite oil to warm running bath water for the ultimate spa bath.

4.) If you aren’t a big fan of baths, I highly recommend them. Since the 1800s, sea water has been used for therapeutic purposes and preventative measures based on the belief that immersion in sea water revitalizes and cleanses the system. Thalassotherapy is used as a healing method and has been found to assist in firming and toning skin to help reduce cellulite, aid in reducing stress, chronic fatigue and circulatory problems and to support maintaining overall wellness and hydration. But if you prefer showers, be sure to use a soap and sulfate free body wash with a non-irritating formula that won’t cause dryness or irritation. Don’t forget to always apply a body lotion after your shower or bath.

5.) If you need an emergency skin care fix for a holiday party and you find your skin is scaly, hop in the shower with an exfoliator and scrub away dead, dull skin. While skin is still damp, massage a hydrating body oil into your skin for an instant glow.
