A Trip To Remember

It has been a whirlwind of activity for me in the past few weeks as we continue to present our newest groundbreaking facial treatment, the Hydra 4® Red-Out™ Facial with Micro Silver and Anti-Oxidants for Hypersensitive Skin as well as the new at-home products,  the Hydra 4® Red-Out™ Calming Cleanser and Serum, and the exciting, new Mineral Face Shield.  These were officially launched here in NYC this past May at our 17th Annual International Conference with tremendous success.

After presenting these at the Premier show in Orlando and the IECSC show in Las Vegas, I have just returned from Trinidad where we conducted a 4 day Conference and Workshop series in conjunction with our long-time distributor, Anthony P. Scott.  This company was founded in 1969 by Germaine Scott, an amazing woman with the passion and perseverance to create a life-time legacy for her family. With 5 children in tow, she worked extremely hard to create the best and biggest distributor center in Trinidad and Tobago.  Today her children Graham, Daniel and Jonathan Scott are now running the company, and they have proven themselves to be the most amazing men, continuing their mother’s successful business.

To say the least it was an extremely heartwarming experience for me these past four days to meet so many Repêchage fans as we launched our exciting new protocol and products.   During the Conference, we presented the scientific information behind the formulations, including the truly beneficial results of using Micro Silver to finally combat the redness and irritation associated with Rosacea and hypersensitive skin.  We also discussed the important news in providing anti-oxidant protection with our Mineral Face Shield, which is of upmost importance with the rise in pollution-aggravated skin conditions.

The workshop series was held at the Anthony P. Scott Training Center, and was exhilarating as well.  It spanned over two days, with over 55 participants in attendance.  I provided additional information on the science and ingredients, while Repêchage Global Education Leader Lauren Streeter as well as local educator Adel Heerah gave a hands-on workshop for the treatment protocol.

The new Red-Out Facial was extremely well received and the new Mineral Face Shield already has a huge fan base, especially among the men.  The Scott brothers loved it…they saw an immediate difference in their skin.  They commented on how men tend to shy away from skin protection because it can burn their eyes and feel greasy, but this wasn’t the case with our product.  Word will spread quickly on how great Mineral Face Shield is to use in that tropical, sun-drenched climate, I am sure.

One special additional stop was to visit our great Repêchage partner, Kerry Gobardhan of Kor Salon and Spa.  Please check back soon to see our profile on this businessman, and to hear more about our visit with him.

Reflecting on the amazing people I visited with in Trinidad, I cannot help but go back to my thoughts and admiration for the founder of Anthony P. Scott, G. Scott, and her sons.  These men continue to develop the company, implementing the same principals exercised by their mother more than 46 years ago.  That includes the way they deal with their staff.  I was very much impressed by their dedication to them as well as their clients.   I find they have similar values that we at Repêchage uphold as we celebrate 35 years in business this July.  I too can remember the hard ships of being a young mother and starting my own business, sacrificing many things so that both my family and my business could flourish and grow. Returning to the United States after all my travels, I always feel that I am very blessed to be able to meet people all over the world who are passionate about their work and have such beautiful stories.  While I inspire others, I also feel inspired by the many people I meet.

As we are getting ready to enjoy our 4th of July weekend, let us take a minute to appreciate what our independence in America means.  I cannot help but think how lucky we are to live in this country and to be able to enjoy freedom, and our right to pursue happiness and success.

Let’s celebrate and be mindful of those countries and people that have less than we do.

Happy Independence Day!
